I've made a booking. What happens next?

Before you arrive

You've found a great place to stay and made your booking. Now all you need to do is get there and enjoy it. A few tips to make the journey easy:

  1. Check your confirmation. Your booking confirmation email has the host's private arrival instructions: the exact entrance, any gate code, where to park and who to contact. If the host has made a welcome video, you'll find it there too.
  2. Say hello to your host. Send a quick message through Campable messages to introduce yourselves and let them know roughly when you'll arrive.
  3. Prepare for off-grid. Some Campable places are outside mobile coverage, so save the directions and arrival instructions before you set off.
  4. Arrive before dark. Unless you've agreed a later time with your host, give yourself plenty of time to arrive in daylight (and enjoy the view!).
  5. Read the Rules of Etiquette. They're here to keep you safe and your host happy.

Once you arrive

Remember that you're a guest on someone's private property. Treat your host and their place with respect, and leave everything as you found it.

  1. Say hello! If your host is home, "hello" is always a good place to start, and they might have some local secrets to share.
  2. Find your spot. Park only where your host has asked you to.
  3. Relax and enjoy your stay!

After you leave

Leave a review under Bookings on the website or in the app. Your host will review you too. If anything wasn't right, please tell your host or us at support@campable.com, and we'll help put it right.

Happy travels!
