You'll love staying here because it has amazing views and scenery. Wake up to see Hikurangi Mountain, first place to see the sun, each day. Available, are guided tours of Hikurangi mountatin, or access to walk up from local guide. Charter boat fishing is available to the Ranfurly Banks from Hicks Bay, which is 40 minutes drive away. This site is close to beautiful open spaces, 15 minutes drive to beaches and the Waiapu River, which is suitable for swimming. Depending on the season, your neighbors are sheep, lambs, cows, horses or lamas. You're welcome to stay here if you're travelling in a self-contained motor-home or self-contained camper-van. 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive to Ruatoria township for groceries, takeaways, local arts and crafts.
