The place

Bonspiel Accommodation is proving to be popular in our area of Central Otago. It all started during the filming of the movie “The Lord of the Rings – the two towers” in our location. The filming staff needed accommodation in the area. So we decided to give our place and that was the beginning. Then, we entered into the accommodation business. We had an old pub on the corner of our place, we cleaned and organized the pub and turned it into a holiday stay for families. In order to go with the market trend, we turned our old workers' cottage into a stay. We also have some gold mining huts for the people, who love to stay in a rustic environment. These stone huts belonged to the people gold mining here in the 1860s. You're welcome to stay here if you're travelling in any self-contained vehicle, including motor home, campervan, RV, caravan or converted bus.
