The place

River Rock Estate (Adults only) is a boutique vineyard, winery and cellar door, Hot Tubs complex and luxury vineyard accommodation suitable for Fully Self-contained vans with a permanently fitted toilet only (No cars /station wagons/people mover style vans or tents).Hot Pools toilet is available for campers to use during Hot Pools opening hours. Toilet hours 12noon-9pm. NO SHOWER or kitchen facility's available. The 1.3 hectare vineyard was first planted in 2004 and produces Pinot Gris, Chardonnay-style Pinot Gris, Two Together, Censored Pinot Noir, Zesty Pinot Noir, Naked Pinot, Rose and Sauvignon Blanc wines and is also home to Tommy Cooper Port (Styles being Cherry, Orange and Red) Visitors will enjoy the estate’s restful views of the Carrick, Dunstan and Pisa Ranges and the fairways of the nearby golf course. There are also another 3 cellar doors within close proximity. The Estate is a five minute walk to nearby shops and numerous restaurants. The campsites are situated on the edge of the olive grove with views of the vineyard and surrounding mountains.
Available for guests onsite is a Hot Pools complex, which includes a Glass House, Bath House, Pool House, Spa House, Outdoor Tubs & Sauna (charges apply). Also available to hire is a tandem bike to check out the local attractions.
Hosts Graeme and Jan-Marie welcome guests up to the Tasting room/House bar at 5pm each day during their stay for a guest wine tasting, four wines and one port ($25 per head). The Tasting room/House bar is open daily if guests wish to purchase drinks from 12noon till late. (Subject to Graeme or Jan-Marie being available)
Rates: $75 per van per night for two adults. $20 per extra adult. (Maximum 4 adults per van) Adults only. Sorry not suitable for children. No pets.
Check in is till 7pm and checkout is 11am.
Guest credit card details are required when checking in for payment (if not already prepaid) or any possible incidentals that guest may occur. Credit card details are not kept on file after guest leaves.
We also remind guests River Rock Estate is a working vineyard so guests may encounter working machinery, spraying, frost fighting and bird scaring.

Level pitch with water and electricity, restricted hours for toilet, helpful owner, watch out for the sprinklers if you sit outside!

Ideally located to walk to Cromwell town centre. Access to washroom a big plus. However the owner had chosen to close the cellar door that day so we could not access the promised wine tasting. Shame!

Only 2 places for campers so very private. Facilities were spotless & an added bonus was a Landry & clothes line. Wine tasting at 5.00 by our hosts was great. One point some minor overnight road noise

Very nice stay at a vineyard. Well prepared parking spot with electricity and water available. Nice little pool house with sunbeds. Wine tasting was great. The whole range of wines was introduced.

Really fantastic! Great hosts, super amenities and the 5pm wine tasting a must. Paid extra to use the pool which was lovely. Highly recommended!
