The place

Welcome to Braeburn Farm. We are a farming family and are proud to share our beautiful land for others to enjoy.
You can camp out on our farm, in the foothills of the Kaweka Ranges, with stunning views and open space. If you’re lucky you may see the rare NZ Falcon that call our farm home, bring your binos and look out for wild deer and goats at dawn and dusk. One or two dogs are welcome (not on the sheep campsite) but they must be fully vaccinated and wormed with a vet approved all wormer within one week of arrival at the farm. Dogs must remain on a lead at all times please.
You will be the only campers when you book with us and will experience privacy and tranquility out in nature. There is room for up to 4 campervans when you stay with us, so feel free to bring a few friends or family, as long as they also have self contained accommodation.
You're welcome to stay here if you're travelling in any self-contained vehicle, including motorhome, campervan, RV, caravan or converted bus..
If we are available there may be an option to help feed the animals (this is not guaranteed!)
Fresh farm eggs and other farm produce available to purchase.
Choose from 2 sites.
Site 1 is up on the top of the farm, looking down on our native bush that is home to wild deer and rare native birds. Stunning views with beautiful sunrise and sunsets. This is the place to bring the binos and keep an eye out for wildlife at dawn and dusk. A bird lovers paradise, with Tui, Bellbirds, Kereru and Fantail all around you as you camp.
Access to this site is via a gravel track and is accessible for most campervans and caravans.
Site 2 is the sheep paddock! Camp up under the ‘old man pine tree’ and our sheep will be sure to come and say hi. We have a few pet sheep and some friendly goats in amongst the flock, who will come and check you out in no time! This site will be unavailable during lambing time (August/September) but then will reopen so you can enjoy the young spring lambs!
Access is via a gravel road and then up a hill in a grass paddock. This is more off road terrain so it is up to you whether you think your vehicle can make it. You can always have Campsite 1 as a back up option. We will never accept two bookings on the same night, so the farm is yours to enjoy.
