Grassmere Orchard & Luxury Cat Resort

The place

Our home is located on a working apple orchard, we also run a luxury cat resort onsite.

You'll love staying here because it's a great central location, handy to Napier, Taradale and easy to get to Hastings and Havelock North via the expressway.
Hawkes Bay is known for its great bike tracks and local wineries, as well as great places to eat, drink and sight see and don't forget the Art Deco Festival!
You're welcome to stay here if you're travelling in any motorhome, campervan, RV, caravan or converted bus, including those without toilet facilities.
We offer flat sites in a quiet, peaceful location with easy access for all vehicle types.
There is 3 phase/solar power and 16 amp plugs for campers/caravans/motorhomes via the workshop, potable water from our bore (so no chlorinated water), plus the use of an outside toilet (no shower).
There is plenty of parking behind the workshop, next to the apple trees or at the back of the orchard if you prefer to be in a quieter location.
Please note we are a working apple orchard, so there may be noise when spraying, mowing, pruning and picking! There are also plenty of pukeko's wandering around the orchard and also the occasional rabbit and sometimes bee hives are located throughout the orchard.
Our cat resort open hours are 830-10am and 430-6pm, during these times we do have clients driving through the property to pick up and drop off their cats.
Please ensure children are under supervision at all times, due to the various hazards on our site.
Visitors should not enter the workshops or cat resort buildings unless accompanied by the owners or cat resort staff. No Smoking on site please and no parties or other guests allowed.
Fires are not permitted when an active fire ban is in place- please check with us before lighting a fire.
We are onsite most of the day/every day as the cat resort keeps us both busy-24/7!
There is a productive vegetable garden plus fruit trees, as well as free range hens with plenty of fresh eggs.
We can accommodate well trained/disciplined pets only, as the orchard is not fully fenced and the chooks often free range.
We have one house cat (Smokey)..

An amazing night, so peaceful and yet handy to pop into Napier, for ourselves we were lucky to get the Art Deco festival with all things 1930's. Would fully recommend site. Thanks
