The place

Our farm is a family farm far enough into the country to be peaceful and quiet but only 8kms from State Highway 1 allowing you to reach Auckland or Hamilton in an hour. Close to Auckland airport so you can begin or end your NZ adventure at Buttercup Farm. We are also close to Hampton Downs race track, Nikau Caves and The Base Shopping Centre as well as being en route to many of the attractions like Hobbiton and Mt Maunganui . We have an orchard where you can pick and eat fruit directly from the trees, chickens that can be fed and eggs you can collect, we also have ducks that will eat from your hand, and plenty of cows. Sometimes we have calves that can be bottle fed.
We offer both campervan hosting (families welcome) and a glamping dome (sleeps 2 adults, not suitable for children) and we'd love to share our rural location with you.

Peaceful place to stay! Great views and lovely hosts. We enjoyed walking around the farm, and bicycling to Lake Whangape.
