Cameron's Beach Front
Campervan and motorhome stay in Greymouth, West Coast, New Zealand · Rated 4.95 out of 5 (44 reviews) · from $35 a night
The place
Welcome to this Wild West Coast beach- come and thrive in the quietness and see the amazing views of Mount Cook!
Cameron's Beach Front is a private site 400m off the West Coast cycle trail located 15 min away from the Greymouth Township and 20 min from the Hokitika Township. Nestled in 5 acres of native bush, only a one minute walk from camper van door to beachfront, and your choice of two twenty-minute walks along the beach to the Taramakau River or New River, you'll see the best of the West Coast outdoors.
We can suggest some fun activities while you're here. You can walk on the beach, look for greenstone, if you have a fishing license you can fish in the rivers for trout or salmon or whitebaiting if in season, you can also surf cast off the beach (no license needed for that) but you need your own rod! We have a friendly dog and a weary cat, and 4 friendly chickens. If you head outside our property on a rainy night, there is a chance you might spot New Zealand's native Little Blue Penguin and just, in general, relax on the property!
Tourist attractions offer large walks, bush walks, waterfalls and much more + Shanty Town ( a replica historic village). Gold panning, steam train, etc.
Flat and grass site to park on, no worries here!
Self-contained motorhomes/caravans only.
We look forward to seeing you!

Great location, great facilities, great hospitality. We loved it!!
If you are in the area, better not to miss this spit. 2 minutes away from the beach to enjoy the sunset. Nice peace of grass to park, the owners are super welcoming and provide power. Top notch
Great spot and lovely hosts
Awesome beach side location. Hosts couldn't have been more helpful. Enjoyed the sunset and a moonlit camp fire on the beach. A must stop if travelling the west coast.
We spent 2 fabulous nights here and felt very welcome. The site was sheltered and private with the beach a short stroll through the lovely garden. Even our 2 labradors loved it. Highly recommended!
