The place

THE SITE: This is a private rear section with room for one self-contained campervan or camping families with tents (maximum of two families).

It is quiet, and lined with beautiful pohutukawas that are perfect for hanging a hammock or a portable shower unit. From here you can feel the sea breeze, and hear the ocean.

THINGS TO DO: You'll love staying here because it's immediately over the road from the Ohiwa Harbour with direct access at the bottom of the driveway and across the road for launching small boats, kayaks, paddleboards etc. Less than a minute and you're in or on the stunning Ohiwa Harbour.

If you prefer the waves of New Zealand's favourite beach - Ohope Beach - the section is less than a five minute stroll through the nearby beach access to the sea. Here you can enjoy surfing, boogie-boarding etc.
Within a couple of minutes walk is the General Store with coffee, ice cream, takeaways and supplies.

Five minutes walk further up the road and you are at the Port Ohope Wharf complex - wharf jumping, fishing, and during the summer season, food trucks, watersports rentals, pop-up bar, etc.

The Ohope Beach Golf Links is just a five-minute drive away if that's your thing, and our friends at Salt Spray Surf School (https://takutaiadventure.co.nz) will give you and your family surf lessons at the West End of Ohope Beach.

ACCESS and FACILITIES: Access is via a shared driveway 3 metres wide between the front house and the boundary fence. The site for campervan parking has a slight slope - see photos.

There is one campervan/caravan and two regular 230VAC power sockets on the exterior of the garage at the rear of the property.

There is a town water supply to connect using your own hoses and fittings.

RULES: You must have self-contained facilities as there is NO toilet or shower on the site.

All rubbish must be removed at the end of your stay.

There is a shared turning area at the top of the driveway that must be kept clear of vehicles.

We have owned this land since 1972, so please respect our neighbours - this is not a party site.

The rear shed is private.
