Urban sanctuary on McNicol
Campervan and motorhome stay in Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand · Rated 4.83 out of 5 (6 reviews) · from $25 a night
The place
A peaceful hideaway amongst the trees. Lots of bird life with a small stream running along the boundary, home to many eels (who like to be fed) and the native kokopu. You'll never know you're in the city. Pets are welcome, there is even a large park across the stream suitable for walking dogs. BBQ and Wifi are also available but you will need to use these at our house (the wifi signal does not reach down to the camping area).
During Winter months or if there has been a lot of rain please park up the main driveway as the grass area may be too boggy and we wouldn’t want you to get stuck! The wifi signal works well in the driveway and you will still have privacy surrounded by trees and bird life.

Great place to spend the night. The entrance is a bit narrow but we managed to get to the grassy area without a problem. Thank you Taki and Simone.
Lovely spot at the end of a cul-de-sac, close enough to walk into the centre of Hamilton
A gem! Beautiful grounds and waking up to the birds chirping away was heaven. Wonderful host, Taki was warm and welcoming, and made us feel at home.
Will be back when in Hamilton!
Fantastic hosts - so accomodating and super friendly! Happy camper :)
Hosts were very welcoming and it was a excellent area that I needed to be in.
