Bellbirds' Return
Campervan and motorhome stay in Waipu, Northland, New Zealand · Rated 5 out of 5 (1 review) · from $25 a night
The place
You'll love staying here because it's a great central location. You're welcome to stay here if you're travelling in any self-contained vehicle, including motorhome, campervan, RV, caravan or converted bus.
There is a double entrance to Bellbirds' Return site with enough room for a couple of campervans or 1 long caravan. It is a 10 x 8m pad which is a stone base and very dry, a slight aspect so all rain runs off. The best entrance for longer vehicles is the first from the Waipu direction.
5km from the town centre of Waipu village with its many eateries to cater for all tastes plus parks and walks for dog lovers. Waipu Cove beach is a bike ride away along tarseal and bike track or a 5 minute car ride.
The site is fenced and secure and your four-legged friends are welcome.
South road is easy contours so is already a popular destination for bike riding, running and walking the dog.
Bellbirds' Return was named in recognition of the community spirit here in this area. Our site looks across the valley to the Waionehu Stream which is being planted out by locals to bring bellbirds along up to the Brynderwyns. The acclaimed Piroa Conservation Trust is busy growing natives and promoting pest control as part of this initiative.
There is so much to do and see, so why not book Bellbirds' Return for your next holiday? Just give me a call if you want to hear of great sites to visit depending on the season of your stay. Stay two nights or three or however many...there is a laundry mat in Waipu.
There is seasonal produce from our Summerhill Farm here. Home grown using regenerative practices... honey, eggs, jams and fresh vegetables or fruit, all depending on the season. Call Cathie if you would like to purchase.
Land here and try not to stay a while, you will see what we mean.

I incorrectly read the description. Whilst I was not in a self-contained vehicle, the host and I made a plan that could accommodate me and it worked well to have a safe place to stay overnight. Compliments to the host, Cathie, who was very prompt in all her communications with me.
Thank you - Elizabeth
