We were taking a scenic route up the East coast North of Auckland and when we reached Whangarei wanted to stay but not in the town. Acorn Cottage is only a short drive South. Peter and Brenda are very hospitable hosts and helpful with advice they gave us for our travels the next day. We left with a nice selection of their home grown grapes and blackberries. The site is flat, has lovely views over McLeod bay and power and water are available. You will enjoy it. John Cope
