The place

Camp right opposite Waipu Cove surf beach on a working farm with sea views. Wake up to the sound of the waves, walk across the road for a surf or swim, and have The Cove Restaurant as an almost-neighbour. There's a lovely coastal walk and a great cycling trail close by, plus 150 acres of farm and bush to explore. The hosts aren't always on site, but if they're around they're happy to say hello. Good for beach and surf lovers, walkers, cyclists and anyone who likes a farm setting.

House rules

  • Check-in: arrival details are sent once your booking is confirmed
  • Departure: please leave by midday

Please note arrival from 1pm
Vacating by mid day ( if you require longer contact the host )
Appreciate guests being thoughtful if other campers are on the farm regarding noise
This is a working farm so if you would like to take a walk over the farm please ensure gates that are closed are kept that way and if they are open again leave them that way. If you have a dog it must be on a leash and use to being amongst animals. Otherwise please leave them at the site.
Our cows are use to people and are very curious animals.
BBQ's are allowed but if there is a "fire ban" you need to be aware that some bbq's may not be allowed to operate.
With regards to rubbish the Waipu Cove General Store does sell the affiliated Council bags and rubbish and recycle is collected very early on a Tuesday morning so best put out Monday night. We do have small recycle bins the are in 2 categories
Maroon Bin for cans and plastic, Blue Bin for glass. Paper is required to be separate in an ordinary A4 size bag or tied but please note they will not pick up cardboard boxes etc. If you are there on a Monday night and we re not in residence really appreciate if you can take the initiative to take the bins out and bring back up when emptied the following day

Self-contained vehicles only.

Pets

Pets including dogs are welcome - please just keep them in control and not allow them to chase our cows! Please keep them on a lead and be aware of noise regarding if your dog is barking.
I'm mentioning but we have never had a camper that hasn't picked up their dogs droppings ( there is a poop drop bin where the boats can be launched on the beach entrance)

Absolutely the best location at Waipu cove. Better view of the ocean than the camp ground and you are allowed your dog. Definitely highly recommend this site.

What a beautiful spot. We took our wee caravan to the top of the hill and had the most fantastic views over Bream Bay, Quiet warm nights and a top spot meant we had an awesome stay . Recommend. Thanks
