The place

My place is a private location for only a few guests. You'll love staying here because we're friendly and social hosts. This site is close to native forest. You're welcome to stay here if you're travelling in a motor home or camper van, including those without toilet facilities.
We are close to wineries, waterfall bush walk, beaches both surf and swimming, as well as coastal walks, skate park and lots more to see and do in Mangawhai.
We have a hard drive area to park on if conditions do not allow us to use the lawns.
We require vac passes to stay

John was warm & friendly, offering a peaceful, pretty setting. A bonus was their dog Basil. We’ll be back.

Laharan Retreat is lovely! John and Basil the dog gave us a great welcome and tour around the grounds as well as local information on hikes nearby. Would fully recommend staying here.

Very lovely place, great locat for kids and families with plenty of toys, play areas. Close to Mangawhai heads and Langs beach. Facilities a bit rustic but for the price it is a must. I will come back
